On this day, December 1, in 1957, The Ed Sullivan Show unveiled two new acts: Sam Cooke and Buddy Holly & the Crickets.

    Nice post – all tunes are my faves! How ironic that the both were introduced by Sullivan on the same day. Remarkable.

    I love Sam Cooke and his music takes me back to a time where real music was created and before i was born. He was a wonderful artist. I hate that his death led to an inquisition.
