The song was the second straight No. 1 from Songs from the Big Chair, the duo’s most successful album. The album ran only a little over 40 minutes, and garnered four hits.

Good for you for bringing this all back! “Shout” was a big hit, but for me, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” was a very definitive song of the time period, it totally brings it all back to me.
