Lip Service

Last night, I went to Jules Bistro on St. Mark’s Place in Manhattan’s East Village. Playing there, on Friday nights and Sunday brunch, is the very talented Lipbone Redding. He plays guitar, and with his lips, he makes all the trumpet and trombone sounds. Rounding off the Lipbone Redding Orchestra are Jeff Eyrich on upright bass and Rich Zukor on drums and percussion.

Soon, I’ll be reviewing his CD Hop The Fence, but for now – check out three of his live performances.
